Jon Meacham

Jon Meacham is a Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer, a contributing writer for the New York Times Book Review and a contributing editor at Time Magazine. He is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The Hope of Glory, Destiny and Power: The American Odyssey of George Herbert Walker Bush, Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power, American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House, American Gospel and Franklin & Winston. Meacham, who holds the Rogers Chair in the American Presidency at Vanderbilt University, lives in Nashville.

Dr. Yusef Salaam

Dr. Yusef Salaam is a committed advocate and educator, focusing on the issues of false confessions, police brutality and misconduct, press ethics and bias, race and law, and the disparities in America’s criminal justice system. Yusef, a member of the Exonerated Five, received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016 from President Barack Obama. He was appointed to the board of the Innocence Project in 2018 and is a part of the Netflix Feature limited series called When They See Us based on the true story of the “Central Park Five,” directed by Ava DuVernay.

Demetria Kalodimos, Emcee

Demetria Kalodimos is a trusted voice in Middle Tennessee. She has anchored and reported the news for more than 35 years and  has won some of the top awards in broadcast journalism  including 6 Emmys, 3 Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) National Awards and 3 Edward R. Murrow Awards for investigative reporting. She has consistently been voted Best Local Anchor by readers of the Tennessean and the Nashville Scene. She was inducted into the Tennessee Journalism Hall of Fame in 2016. Kalodimos holds a Masters in Journalism from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Music Education and Honorary Doctorate from Illinois Wesleyan University. She produces her own award winning documentaries, music videos and other visual content through her company Genuine Human Productions, headquartered at The Filming Station.
